Sabbath, March 31, 2012

Sabbath was bright and sunny here in West Virginia, and we were very happy to have most of our local congregation at the chapel today and thankful for our virtual members who joined us. We are sorry due to time constraints we have not been able to publish news the last two weeks but we will try to post links for the recorded information later this week, Lord willing.

Remember you can join for youth Sabbath School, Sabbath worship, and Wednesday night prayer meeting by using the following contact information: phone 1-218-936-7999 and room number 755896, or on the Internet by using the follow link: http://www.webmeetinglogin.com/go/sdhcf/church. You can also download slides for most of these services from our home web page.

The youth Sabbath School nature lesson was on the Jack Pine trees. You may see a slide show of the pictures by clicking here. The main lesson focused on the early advent movement and the giving of the message that Jesus was coming soon by William Miller and others. You may click here for a slide show of the lesson. The audio recording of the lesson may be accessed by clicking here.

The Worship Service began with prayer and the hymn “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” After taking prayer requests, Sister Ann Ford led us to the throne of grace. Pastor Stumps gave a short childrens story on law and grace and then the sermon was on the power of the gospel. You may listen to this encouraging sermon by clicking here. Slides that go with the sermon may be accessed by clicking here.

Do not forget to use the new directions for listening to the services by phone or by Internet and to check the home page early Sabbath morning to download the current slides for the youth Sabbath School and for the Worship Service.
