Sabbath, March 10, 2012

Sabbath was bright and sunny here in West Virginia, and we were very happy to have most of our local congregation at the chapel today and thankful for our virtual members who joined us.

Remember you can join for youth Sabbath School, Sabbath worship, and Wednesday night prayer meeting by using the following contact information: phone 1-218-936-7999 and room number 755896, or on the Internet by using the follow link: http://www.webmeetinglogin.com/go/sdhcf/church. You can also download slides for most of these services from our home web page.

The youth Sabbath School nature lesson was on the heart. You may see a slide show of the pictures by clicking here. The main lesson focused on the French Revolution and how the Bible predicted this event. You may click here for a slide show of the lesson. There was also a short set of slides on the two witnesses. You may click here for that presentation. The audio recording of the lesson may be accessed by clicking here.

The Worship Service began with prayer and the hymn “Come, Thou Almighty King.” After taking prayer requests, Brother Holt led us to the throne of grace. Pastor Stumps sermon was on Christ and the Beatitudes. We examined the first four of the Beatitudes and showed how Christ was a living example of those virtues. (The last four will be covered next week.) You may listen to this uplifting and informative sermon by clicking here. Slides that go with the sermon may be accessed by clicking here.

Do not forget to use the new directions for listening to the services by phone or by Internet and to check the home page early Sabbath morning to download the current slides for the youth Sabbath School and for the Worship Service.
