Sabbath, February 18, 2012

The weather this Sabbath was much improved from last week but due to car problems, we were not all able to meet in person. Thankfully we could meet by phone and online, just as many of our virtual listeners do.

We began the new conference system this Sabbath and, sad to say, we know some folks were missing. We do hope, however, that this coming week all will understand and be able to join us either by phone or Internet. We have been looking at some different ideas for the Internet that are, at this time, promising, so please keep this issue in prayer. Remember you can join with us, at this time, by using the following numbers: Phone 1-218-936-7999 and room number 755896. You may also access our worship service, youth Sabbath School, and prayer meeting on the Internet by using the follow link: http://www.webmeetinglogin.com/go/sdhcf/church. By accessing the Internet you can download slide presentations for Sabbath School and the Worship Service.

The youth Sabbath School nature lesson was on animal rest. You may see a slide show of the pictures by clicking here. The main lesson continued our series on the Protestant Reformation by focusing on the Puritans and the Pilgrims. You may click here for a slide show of the lesson.

The Worship Service centered on Pastor Allen Stumps message on the Beatitudes, covering Matthew 5:8: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for thy shall see God.” You may listen to this uplifting and informative sermon by clicking here. Slides that goes with the sermon may be accessed by clicking here.

Do not forget to use the new directions for listening to the services by phone or by Internet, and also to check the home page early Sabbath morning to download the current slides for the youth Sabbath School and for the Worship Service.
