Trust in Divine Power, Natural Remedy #8 -- Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him. (Psalm 37:7)

Sabbath, June 16, 2012

We were blessed at Smyrna this Sabbath with warm fellowship, good preaching, and a pleasant Sabbath School. After Sabbath School song service, Pastor Allen Stump presented a nature nugget about the song of crickets. The youth continued their study on Adventist heritage, focusing on Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, the Battle Creek Sanitarium, and the eight natural remedies. You can view the slideshow presentations for the youth Sabbath School by clicking here, and you can view the science demonstration, “Popping the Cork,” based upon Proverbs 19:19, ESV, by clicking here.

The Worship Hour began with prayer and the hymn “On Jordan’s Stormy Banks,” following which Brother Leon Holt led the congregation in intercessory prayer. Sister Elyssa Sims next presented the children’s story on the importance of God’s word entitled, “The Little Black Book.” You may hear the story by clicking here.

Pastor Allen Stump then presented the sermon of the hour, entitled “To Win Christ.” You may listen to this inspiring sermon by clicking here. The service closed with the hymn “Not I, but Christ,” and with prayer.

We then greeted our long-distance listeners. It is always a blessing to share our Sabbath services with you, and we pray that this new week will be filled with heavenly blessings and great joy.

We invite you to join our youth Sabbath school and our worship hour each Sabbath morning, starting at 9:40 EST, as well as prayer meeting Wednesday evenings at 7:00. You may join us by telephone conferencing or through an internet classroom. To join by telephone, dial 1-218-936-7999 and, when prompted, room number 755896.
